The memory of Piedmontese History at the table
Baldaiassa has been involved in the production and sale of pure hazelnut oil since 2009, obtained exclusively by cold mechanical pressing of selected hazelnuts of the Tonda Gentile Trilobata variety grown in Piedmont.
The cold pressing process is conducted entirely in the hazelnut processing workshop, by means of hydraulic presses, daily, on small batches of raw shelled hazelnuts or roasted hazelnuts, so that there are no reservations about the quality of the resulting pure oil and that its post-sale storage can reap maximum benefits: to date, Baldaiassa pure hazelnut oil has a minimum shelf life of 18 months from the bottling date.
Immediately after its cold pressing, Baldaiassa pure hazelnut oil rests in stainless steel food-grade drums to allow it to slowly decant, without being subjected to aggressive filtering procedures. Careful chemical-physical analyses are then conducted, and finally if the measured values deemed suitable, packaged for sale in 100-ml, 250-ml, 500-ml bottles or 1-liter cans.
No chemicals are used during its production, either at the cold-pressing or subsequent stages, and for this reason Baldaiassa pure hazelnut oil can be used in both food and cosmetics, where it is widely used for facial, general skin and hair care.
