World Heritage List of Unesco
In 2014 Langhe-Roero and Monferrato has become 50th Italian site of the World Heritage List dell’Unesco us an artistic and natural heritage of mankind.
This was the first time UNESCO recognized the Italian wine landscape, and also placed it on the World Heritage List due to its uniqueness.
This is a fundamental recognition of the cultural value of Piedmont’s agriculture! Our wine landscapes are an outstanding example of a secular interaction between man and nature, formed by a continuous ancient tradition of winemaking that is highly valued throughout the world.
